Azurite Gemstones
Premium quality wholesale Azurite gemstone beads, pendants and cabochons for jewelry making and designing. Carefully selected gemstones help you create outstanding necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Azurite was sacred to the Egyptians who believed it was an aid to spiritual communication.  Many believe that Azurite helps to reduce anger and to increase psychic awareness. It is also thought to reduce abnormal cell growth, promote wisdom, and is used as an aid to relieve the paid of rheumatism.

Since man conducts this process, there are many variations in the quality of Azurite gemstone beads. Specimens fluctuate from Magnetite painted to look like Azurite and dyed colored stones pressed together to replicate this bead to natural high quality Lapis and Malachite compressed with stabilization. The latter are, obviously, the highest quality. If you like the blue of Lapis, take a look the gemstone Azurite. In its true form, Azarite is a blue gemstone that changes into Malachite under certain conditions. Usually Azurite and Malachite are found together in the same rock. It is not very common to find and even more uncommon to make beads from it as it is usually made into cabochons.

Azurite is very soft and it is hard to make a lot of product from just the thin line containing both Azurite and Malachite. These "Azurite" beads are natural Lapis Lazuli and natural Malachite put together with a stabilizing agent that is cut into beads.  Azurite was historically ground down to make paint pigments. Sometimes artists blue skies and seas would turn green as the Azurite turned to Malachite before their eyes. It was disconcerting to say the least.

We’ve just imported some beautiful azurite gemstone beads from overseas, in all the usual round sizes and a few others. These natural stones have a blue and green mixture that comes from a copper content within the mineral. These stones have the blue colors of lapis lazuli as well as the rich green colors of malachite.
